Dosage form

Liquid extract for oral administration.

Composition

Rhizomes and roots of prickly Eleutherococcus - 1000 g;

Ethyl alcohol (ethanol) 40% - a sufficient amount to obtain 1 liter of extract.

Description of the dosage form

Light brown to dark brown liquid with a specific odor. During storage, precipitation is allowed.

Pharmacological group

General tonic of plant origin.

Pharmacological effect

It has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, tonic and restorative effect on the body, increases the general nonspecific resistance of the body, helps to improve appetite, increase physical and mental performance.

Indications

Mental and physical fatigue, asthenic conditions of various etiologies, arterial hypotension, the recovery period after infectious diseases and the postoperative period.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug, arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiac arrhythmias, myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular disease, irritability, epilepsy, convulsive conditions, insomnia, acute infectious diseases, chronic liver diseases. The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy, lactation, and children under 12 years of age.

Dosage and administration

The drug is administered orally before meals.

Adults are prescribed 20-30 drops 2-3 times a day.

Side effects

Interaction

The drug should not be taken in the afternoon to avoid sleep disturbance.
